JEFFERSON PARK — Work is underway to repave Central Avenue between Montrose and Higgins avenues, Ald. John Arena (45th) said.
Motorists should drive carefully and watch for parking restrictions while the work continues, Arena said.
The project includes sidewalk ramp improvements, curb and gutter removal and replacement,, and the construction of new bus stops, Arena said.
The curb, gutter and sidewalk work will take place first, followed by the road work and bus stop construction, Arena said.
Work is scheduled to be completed by May 13, weather permitting, officials said.
