CHICAGO — Police are cautioning residents after a string of burglaries in Portage Park.

In the three incidents, the burglar or burglars entered residences through windows or doors and took electronics, jewelry, cash and other items, police said in a statement.

The most recent incident occurred Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of North Monitor Avenue. The other incidents occurred April 9-14 in the 5500 block of West Hutchinson Street, and the first incident occurred sometime between 11 a.m. April 6 and 1:40 a.m. April 7 in the 5100 block of West Montrose Avenue, police said.
