CHICAGO — Police are warning Lakeview residents after a pair of armed robberies in the neighborhood

In the two incidents, one or two robbers approached the victims and showed a handgun or implied they had one and then directed the victim to withdraw money from an ATM, police said in a statement.

The most recent incident occurred at 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of North Clark Street. The other incident happened at 3:10 a.m. April 5 in the 3600 block of North Racine Avenue, police said.

In the Clark Street incident, the robber was described as a black man with short black hair, between ages 18-25, 6-foot tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with white stripes or lettering and black jeans.

In the Racine Avenue incident, one robber was described as a black man with short black hair, ages 20-30, 5-foot-10 and weighing 145 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie hat with a red stripe. The other robber was described as a black man between ages 20-30.
