Englewood Shootings Leave Two Wounded Tuesday

CHICAGO — Two people were shot in separate incidents in Englewood Tuesday.

The most recent shooting occurred in the 7300 block of South Halsted Street at 7:41 p.m., said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 28-year-old man was walking in the block when he was shot in his leg. He walked into St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

Around 3:13 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in his buttocks and left knee as he walked in the 6800 block of South Sangamon Street. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in an unknown condition, Cooper said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.
