CHICAGO — A man was fatally shot during a domestic dispute in Morgan Park Friday night, police said.

He was later identified as David E. Finney, of the 11300 block of South Green Street, and died at 11:16 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Around 10:35 p.m., 39-year-old Finney was arguing with another man inside his home when the other man shot him in his chest, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, Alfaro said.

As of Saturday, one person is in custody, but an investigation is ongoing, Alfaro said.
