ROGERS PARK — A "pop-up" Sprint corporate store has opened in the old Howard Theater building in place of the temporary Roman Susan Art Gallery "annex" that opened last year.

Sprint spokeswoman Kathleen Dunleavy confirmed the store was among the temporary stores rolled out this month ahead of the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone.

Roman Susan's annex, which was located at 1637-43 W. Howard St. and featured several galleries, knew it would have to find a new home eventually, said Nathan Smith, who helps run the gallery that has a permanent home on Loyola Avenue.

Smith said they hosted a show in a private home in March, and plan to continue to move around to different vacant spaces to show art.

In the same Howard Theater building April 25 to May 29, artist Benjamin Keddy plans to launch his 3D video art installation that tracks passersby and displays an interactive projection of neighboring Sol Cafe.
