NAVY PIER — Giordano's is the latest restaurant with plans to open at the new-and-improved Navy Pier.
The state's busiest tourist attraction said Thursday that the Chicago-based stuffed pizza chain will open a restaurant with outdoor patio in "late May" at the north end of the pier.
Giordano's joins DMK Restaurants, Lettuce Entertain You's Big Bowl Chinese Express, Frankie's Pizza By The Slice and a concept called Big City Chicken as new food tenants at Navy Pier, which is undergoing extensive renovations.
"Navy Pier is such an important part of Chicago’s tradition and future,” said Yorgo Koutsogiorgas, Giordano's President and CEO, in a statement. “There are great things happening at the Pier and Giordano’s is honored and excited to be part of its expansion and Centennial Vision.”
Navy Pier is lining up the new tenants as it approaches its Centennial next year.
