CHICAGO — Police are investigating two suspicious fires that were set at DePaul and Roosevelt University this week.

The fires were set in garbage bins in "located primarily" in men's bathrooms, police said.

Around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, a fire was set at Roosevelt University's Loop campus. Another fire was set around 11:50 a.m. Thursday at DePaul University's Lincoln Park campus, police said.

According to public safety alert at DePaul, the fire was started at the Theatre School on the Lincoln Park campus.

"It is believed that the male set a magazine on fire inside the restroom garbage can. The fire was immediately put [out] and there was no damage or injuries as a result of the incident," the alert said.

Anyone with information is asked to call campus security or the Arson Unit at 312-746- 7618.
