JEFFERSON PARK — Students looking for something to do during Spring Break can attend a free program at Elston Avenue United Methodist Church Monday to April 10, organizers said.

The church, 5850 N. Elston Ave., will offer breakfast and lunch as well as dance, karate and a financial literacy program from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, said the Rev. Hannah Kardon, the pastor of the church on the Jefferson Park and Gladstone Park border.

The church is one of 120 places of worship to participate in the Chicago Public Schools' Safe Haven program, which will not cover religious topics, officials said.
