ROGERS PARK — The Leone Beach Park Advisory Council invites neighbors to come out Sunday to help raise money for programs at Leone Beach Park, which is named after the late lifeguard instructor Sam Leone.
A few of his former students — called "Sam's Boys" — will be in attendance 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Towbar, 1500 W. Jarvis Ave.
The park and its field house are slated for a major overhaul, which could include a nature center and a kayak launch.
