Art Show and Auction in Beverly To Benefit Center for At-Risk Youths

BEVERLY — A student art show and auction to benefit Beacon Therapeutic Diagnostic and Treatment Center will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Beverly Bank & Trust Co., 10258 S. Western Ave. in Beverly.

"Deep In My Art" will showcase the work of students at the center, 10650 S. Longwood Drive in Beverly.

For more than four decades, Beacon Therapeutic has served homeless and at-risk youths and their families in the Chicago area with academic programs and clinical therapies.

This year, the school has teamed with with Bear Givers, a nonprofit that visits hospitals and distributes teddy bears to children young and old.

Several celebrity artists have also contributed work for show. Art students from Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Mount Greenwood have submitted pieces for the auction, too.
