EDISON PARK — Lovers of fresh veggies rejoice — a new farmers market will set up shop in Downtown Edison Park this spring.

The market — featuring fresh produce, prepared foods, flowers, music, inflatable jump houses and children's activities — will take place from 4-8 p.m. on the last Wednesday of the month starting April 29 and running through October, said Edison Park Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Melissa McIntyre.

"We chose Wednesdays because this offers all our residents an opportunity to come together and break
up the work week," McIntyre said. "Many people are so busy on weekends during the summer, we hope this will be a relaxing event people can bring their children, dogs and come together with their neighbors."

The market will be in the center parking lot of the Edison Park Metra station, 6730 N. Olmsted Ave. The lot is directly across from Moretti's and the Edison Park Inn.
