CHICAGO —  A 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy shot in Englewood were among five people shot Monday night across the city.

Around 8:40 p.m., the two teens were in the 5800 block of South Morgan Street when two men on bicycles rode past and one of the men opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Both boys were taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where they were listed in good condition. The 15-year-old was grazed in the left calf and the 14-year-old was shot in the left ankle, Sedevic said.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the right foot while standing in an alley in Humboldt Park alley around 10 p.m., Sedevic said.

The boy was in the 4200 block of West Division Street when someone opened fire. He was taken to Norwegian Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.

Around 10:25 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot while he attempted to get in the passenger seat of a car in the 100 block of West 63rd Street in Englewood. Someone in a white SUV opened fire, striking him in the buttocks during the drive-by shooting, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.

A 42-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot during an attempted robbery in East Garfield Park, Sedevic said.

Around 11:15 p.m., the man was in the 3400 block of West Warren Drive when he was approached by another man who showed him a gun and told him to hand over his property. The man attempted to run from the thief and was shot in the stomach, Sedevic said.

The man was driven to Mount Sinai by a family member, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings.
