CHICAGO — Long-distance runners can now register for the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Entry into the lottery will close on April 21.
Race organizers introduced the lottery for the 2013 edition of the 26.2-mile event.
Runners can also register for guaranteed spots, usually reserved for the fastest people or those who run on behalf of charities.
Last year, 40,659 people finished the journey through a number of Chicago neighborhoods.
This year's marathon will take place on Oct. 11.
