These Before and After Photos of Rogers Park Beaches Prove Winter is Ending

ROGERS PARK — The thaw begins on the neighborhood's beaches.

The ice shelf and caves along the water are slowly melting. The snow pack has given away to sand — mostly.

And the birds are chirping and dogs are barking as neighbors emerge from hibernation Monday as the 47-degree heat wave struck.
