CHICAGO — Police are urging residents to lock up and be alert after recent burglaries in Humboldt Park and Garfield Park.

In each incident, the burglars used force to enter through a back entrance and removed appliances including: a water heater, radiator and furnace, police said.

Two of the burglaries occurred Tuesday, the first at 12:33 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Kedvale Avenue, and then again at 10:08 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Walton Street. The other burglary occurred Feb. 24 at 9:10 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street.
