EDISON PARK — The Ebinger Elementary School Big Event Fundraiser will raise money for a new playground for the Edison Park school.
The Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser, set for 7 p.m. March 7 at White Eagle Banquet Hall, 6839 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, will benefit the Ebinger School Foundation's Let's Get Moving initative.
The foundation has raised $60,000 toward the initative's goal of $125,000 to build a new playground at the school, 7350 N. Pratt Ave.
The foundation has also been working to improve recess, buying games, sports equipment and improving the athletic field and track.
The fundraiser will feature auctions and raffles, organizers said. Attendees will have a chance to win a trip to New Orleans.
