CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert Wednesday after two armed robberies in West Town.

In both cases the victims were robbed by one or two men armed with a gun, police said.

The robberies occurred at 10:15 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of North Cleaver Street and 6:42 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of North Bosworth Avenue, police said.

The robbers are described as black men ages 30-35, 5-foot-7 to 6-foot-1 weighing 180-220 pounds and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black puffy jacket and gym shoes, police said.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
