HUMBOLDT PARK — Will Riot Fest return to Humboldt Park?! The short answer is yes.

Speculation that the three-day fest will leave the neighborhood ran high this week, but contrary to rumors, Riot Fest will return to Humboldt Park as planned, according to fest organizers.

That’s despite an EveryBlock post entitled “Riot Fest to Leave Humboldt Park?” that emerged Tuesday that prompted 41 responses ranging from concern to good riddance messages. A second post, “Riot Fest Needs Our Help,” was made three days later, drawing a mix of 34 comments but fell short of a definitive answer.

But according to Riot Fest spokeswoman Heather West, Riot Fest owner Mike Petryshyn “says there are no plans to move Riot Fest out of Humboldt [Park].”

Holiday presale tickets for the Chicago show quickly sold out, but if all goes according to plan, regular season tickets for the Sept. 11, 12 and 13 shows will be back.

But what's become of Butter Stamos? And will Uncle Jesse ever bring The Rippers to Humboldt Park?
