MORGAN PARK — You don't have to be Marty McFly to enjoy a 1.21 Gigawatt Martini or a DeLorean beer at the Beverly Arts Center Saturday night.

The evening's signature cocktail and brew are part of the theme of 44th annual auction benefiting the neighborhood arts center. BAC to the Future will also feature the work of local artists, live music from Johnny V and the Killer Bzzz and top-notch prize packages.

“We chose the theme 'BAC to the Future' to highlight both the rich past and the promising future ahead for the Beverly Arts Center,” said Sal Campbell, president of the arts center's auxiliary board.

Guests are encouraged to get creative as well and dress according to their favorite decade from the 1960s to the present — or even the future. A special prize will be awarded to the partygoer that best captures the spirit of a particular decade.

Besides the 1.21 Gigawatt Martini, guests at the cash bar can also enjoy the handwork of Neil Byers. The owner of the Beverly brewpub Horse Thief Hollow has made a special batch of beer named DeLorean for the party. This Scottish ale is made using charred oranges.

While sipping on a beverage, attendees are invited to check out the many auction packages. Prizes include a derby day at Arlington Racecourse, dinner for eight in your home with personal chef, a private tour for six and dinner at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, White Sox and Blackhawks packages and a dream bedroom makeover.

Professional auctioneer Vinnie Zaffrano of Zaffrano Auctioneers returns this year for the auction, which starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at the arts center, 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park. The proceeds from the evening will help the Beverly Arts Center update its computer and internet technology for more efficient communications and operations.

Tickets cost $50. For more information, call the Beverly Arts Center at 773-445-3838 or visit its web site at beverlyartcenter.org.
