Two North Side Fast Food Restaurants Robbed by Man With Knife, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are warning North Side businesses after two fast food restaurants were robbed at knifepoint this month.

The first incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Feb. 8, in the 1000 block of West Belmont Avenue in Lakeview. The thief was described as a white man between ages 25-30 with a slim build wearing a black "North Face" jacket, police said.

The second incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Saturday in the 3700 block of North Clark Street in Wrigleyville. The thief was described as a white man between ages 25-35 and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing an olive green drab jacket over a blue hoodie with bleached or stonewashed jeans, police said.

During the robberies, the thief approached the cashier with a knife and demanded money, police said.
