NAVY PIER — Soon, Navy Pier visitors will be able to eat fish while sitting on the dock of the lake.

Chicago-based DMK Restaurants said Friday it will open a DMK Burger Bar and Fish Bar this summer at the lakefront tourist attraction. The two restaurants will fill a 3,000-square-foot indoor area, and also feature a large outdoor patio at Navy Pier, according to a news release.

The restaurants will also include a takeout window serving fries and "adult frozen beverages."

DMK opened the two eateries in Lakeview in 2009, and has since expanded to Soldier Field and west suburban Lombard. The burger bar has since been featured on Food Network, and awarded "Best Fries in Chicago" by Chicago magazine.

Co-founders David Morton and Michael Kornick said they signed the Navy Pier lease Friday.
