CHICAGO — A man was stabbed and attacked by a dog during a domestic dispute early Thursday in West Lawn, police said.

At 2:40 a.m., an argument broke out between a 28-year-old man and his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend in the 6100 block of South Pulaski Road in West Lawn, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The ex-boyfriend stabbed the 28-year-old in the left side of his body, and the man was also bitten by the ex-boyfriend's dog. Another man, 27, was also attacked by the dog, Sedevic said.

The girlfriend drove the two men to Holy Cross Hospital, where the 27-year-old was treated and released. The 28-year-old was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating the incident.
