LINCOLN PARK — If you are fast enough on Thursday, a penny saved is a hotel stay earned.
To celebrate the birth of Abe Lincoln, Hotel Lincoln is offering up a special deal.
For 12 lucky guests, one coin picturing the 16th president's mug will be enough to cover the night.
The hotel that overlooks the president's namesake park is offering 12 callers who dial the Lucky Lincoln Hotline Thursday morning a shot at the 12 rooms.
Guests can enter by calling the hotline, 312-212-4022, from 10-11 a.m. or until reservations are booked.
Only the first 12 callers will receive the penny room rate.
The rate can be booked for a stay from Sunday, February 13 through Tuesday, March 31, but some blackout dates may apply.
Guests lucky enough to snag a room at the hotel, 1816 N. Clark St., will also be able to enjoy the J. Parker's restaurant and bar under the new retractable rooftop on the 13th floor.
