CHICAGO— A man died of carbon monoxide exposure Thursday in Uptown, fire officials said.

The man was found around 10 p.m. by emergency crews responding to several calls reporting people getting sick in the 1000 block of West Winona Street, said Jeff Lyle, Deputy District Chief with Chicago Fire Department Media Affairs.

Fire officials found high carbon monoxide levels in the building, Lyle said. 

Police are investigating the man's death.
