NORWOOD PARK — Resurrection Medical Center is looking for a few good volunteers.

Young people are invited to volunteer and gain valuable work experience to build a resume and expand their network of contacts, said Jim Wisuri, a spokesman for the medical center, 7435 W. Talcott Ave.

Adults can give back to the community while providing a helping hand to the needy, Wisuri said.

Volunteer positions available include the medical center's guiding stars, who greet visitors and hand out passes at the information desk, while helping them find their way around the facility as well as patient ambassadors, who chat with patients and family members in an effort to help ease the stresses of hospitalization, Wisuri said.

Other available roles include delivering flowers and newspapers to patients, transporting patients to an entrance after discharge as well as working in offices throughout the medical center.

For more information about how to get involved as a volunteer, call Grace Babel at 773-792-5110.
