
CHICAGO — A crackdown on drunken drivers led to two DUI arrests in the Bridgeport area last weekend, police said.
During a special DUI strike force patrol in the Deering Police District Saturday night and Sunday, officers arrested two people for drunken driving, police said.
During the crackdown, police also issued a total of 96 tickets for other violations including driving without a license and driving without insurance.
Similar efforts last weekend in the Gresham Police District led to a total of 110 tickets, including four people nabbed for DUI, police said.
