CHICAGO — One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Ashburn, police said.

At 3:10 p.m., a 20-year-old was fatally wounded and a 19-year-old was shot in the leg in the 3100 block of West 84th Place, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Curtis Lyons, 20, of the 8000 block of South Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:39 p.m. according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 19-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

According to police, both men were documented gang members.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
