LINCOLN PARK — It's not too early to start thinking about running under the June sun through the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Registration opened Tuesday for the zoo's 33rd annual United Run for the Zoo 5k run/walk, 10k run.
This year's course will take place mainly on the zoo's grounds, winding through animal habitats to the finish line just inside the main entrance to the zoo.
A full map of the race is available here.
The race, which also includes a children's obstacle course, takes place June 7.
About 5,000 runners and walkers take place annual and the race often sells out.
The post-race events include a party on the zoo's Main Mall.
Participants can register at lpzoo.org.
