LINCOLN PARK — You don't have to wait till it's warm outside to enjoy a drink and a great view of Lincoln Park.

The Boka Restaurant Group unveiled the J. Parker's state-of-the-art retractable rooftop Monday on the 13th floor of Hotel Lincoln.

The J. Parker is also offering a new food menu by chef Paul Virant, of Perennial Virant, and a drink menu to reflect the winter season.

“The new roof is similar to a dome over a sports arena. On the nice days, we can pull it back to enjoy the sun, and in less desirable weather conditions, cover the space so guests can continue to enjoy The J. Parker’s hospitality and amazing city views," said Kevin Boehm, co-owner of the restaurant group.

The rooftop patio opened just in time for guests to check out sweeping views of the blizzard's aftermath in Lincoln Park and the lakefront.

The bar/restaurant is on the 13th floor of the hotel, 1816 N. Clark St., and is open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday through Sunday.

The winter beverage program created by Allie Kim will include such drinks as:

• Rockin’ Chair: Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum, Laird’s Applejack, Demerara, Butter, Cinnamon;

• Out of Nowhere: Maestro Dobel, Marie Brizard White Cacao, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Coffee, Whipped Cream;

• Smoke Rings: Old Forester 100-proof Bourbon, Marie Brizard White Cacao, Root Beer Demerara, Whole Egg, Mezcal.
