GRAND CROSSING — A free workshop scheduled for Tuesday will cover a number of personal safety topics, including how to respond when there's an "active shooter" on the loose.

Members of the community are invited to attend a fireside chat in the Urban Partnership Community Room, 7801. S. State at 2:30 p.m. The “Safety Techniques” discussion will be led by Herman Nelson.

Other safety topics will include what to do when stopped by the police and the best defense decisions for business owners and residents.
