Two Wounded in Separate Shootings Friday

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man shot in Fuller Park was among two people wounded in shootings Friday afternoon

The man was shot in his back and shoulder while in the 4600 block of South Wentworth Avenue around 3:20 p.m., said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, but was transferred to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Lemmon said.

Further details were not available.

Around 2 p.m., a 41-year-old woman was shot in the 9400 block of South Ashland Avenue, Lemmon said.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical center in good condition after being shot in her left arm.

No one is in custody for either shooting.
