Man Fatally Shot in West Pullman Identified

CHICAGO — One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting early Thursday in West Pullman.

The shooting occurred around 2:05 a.m. in the 11900 block of South Yale Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The 24-year-old man and 39-year-old man were both shot in their heads, Sedevic said.

The 39-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Sedevic said.

The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He has been identified as Mayron Collier, of the 10000 South of South Pulaski Road.
