JEFFERSON PARK — The Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce will host a lunch to give business owners a chance to quiz the four candidates running for 45th Ward alderman.

The event, set for noon Tuesday at Gale Street Inn, 4914 N. Milwaukee Ave., will give business owners a chance to learn more about how the candidates' plans could affect their businesses, organizers said.

Ald. John Arena (45th) is facing three challengers in his bid for a second term on the Chicago City Council, including Chicago Police Lt. John Garrido, who lost to the alderman by 30 votes in 2011.

Also in the race are state of Illinois attorney Michael Diaz and Michelle Baert, who publishes a website of family-friendly activities.

The cost for the buffet lunch from local restaurants is $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-members, payable by cash or check at the door, organizers said.

The 45th Ward includes Jefferson Park, Old Irving Park and parts of Portage Park Gladstone Park and Forest Glen.
