CHICAGO — Two people were wounded in shootings Monday night including a teen boy shot in Brighton Park.

Around 7:20 p.m., the 15-year-old was shot during a drive-by in the 3000 block of West 39th Place, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The boy was struck once in his buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Estrada said.

The shooting appears to be gang-related as the victim is a documented gang member, Estrada said.

About two hours later, a 19-year-old man was shot in Belmont Cragin.

Around 8:58 p.m., the man was walking in the 3100 block of West Lavergne Avenue when a man in a dark SUV fired numerous shots, Estrada said.

The 19-year-old ran to the 4800 block of West Diversey Avenue and called police, but before officers arrived a friend drove the man to Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital. He was listed in good condition after being grazed and in his arm and groin, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for either shooting.
