THE LOOP — This is much fancier than buying flowers at Walgreens.

The JW Marriott Chicago, 151 W. Adams St., aims to treat six couples to its "Foodie Fantasy Valentine's Day package," complete with a six-course dinner and overnight stay Feb. 14 in the Loop hotel.

The package costs $1,800 and includes a six-course dinner in the hotel's Burnham Ballroom featuring Iranian caviar, Maine lobster, foie gras and other delicacies. Guests can also participate in the cooking or watch it on the ballroom's "culinary stage," according to a news release.

Dave Matthews admits he hasn't gone this extravagant for a special someone:

After dinner, couples can retreat to their luxury suite for a drawn bath with custom aromatherapy and a "dessert ski," or narrow tasting board of sweets with champagne adorning the bed.

"We wanted to create an entire atmosphere at the hotel — beyond just the dining room table — fit for the ultimate foodie couple," JW Marriott Chef Michael Reich said in a statement.

Reservations can be made by calling 312-660-8200, and must be booked by Feb. 9. The package is limited to six couples, and no cancelations are accepted.
