EDISON PARK — A musical from an Edison Park-based production company will bring President Abraham Lincoln to life during a performance at St. Juliana School.

"Honest Abe: A Character You Can Count On" will be performed at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Juliana, 7201 N. Oketo Ave.

Edison Park-based Face to Face Productions specializes in musical theatrical productions based on historical figures, artistic director Mark Grimsich said.

Written and directed by Mark Amenta, the musical — with a score based on popular 19th Century music — stars David Korzatkowski as Lincoln and Grimsich as Crudley Doowrong.

Written for children ages 5-12, the musical depicts some of the adversity and ethical challenges Lincoln faced during his life and presidency. With the help of the audience, Lincoln must decide if he will make the hard — but right — choices, or succumb to an easier, more self-serving approach as urged by the aptly named Doowrong.
