ROGERS PARK — A once-dilapidated mansion on Albion Avenue has been reborn.
Chicago Housing Investment Properties LLC bought the home at 1052 W. Albion Ave. for $762,500 in 2013 and has recently completed a gut rehab of the six-bedroom, 5½ bathroom home.
Bonnie Zagora, a partner in Chicago Housing, said her group put $700,000 into the property for the renovation.
Now the home, steps from Lake Michigan, is listed for $1.65 million.
Zagora said the 6,100-square-foot home, built in 1908, has only had two owners before.
"It looked like it never was remodeled or improved or updated," she said. "It was in a bad shape."
But the mansion has been remade. Take a look at the photos courtesy of broker Jennifer Ames.
