Armed Robbers Target Food Delivery Drivers in Logan Square: Police

CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert after a series of armed robberies targeting food delivery drivers in Logan Square.

In the four incidents, four men, all wearing hooded sweatshirts and skull caps, robbed delivery drivers. The same suspects committed two street robberies, police said in a statement.

The most recent robbery occurred Sunday around 9 p.m., in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Avenue. The other robberies occurred Jan. 17 at 9:15 p.m., in the 2000 block of North Drake Avenue; Jan. 14 at 9:35 p.m., in the 3500 block of West Dickens Avenue; and Jan. 11 at 3:33 p.m. in 3500 block of West McLean Avenue.

The robbers are described as three Hispanic males, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-10, and between 16 and 20 years old; and a black male, between 5-foot-7 and 6 feet, and between 16 and 25 years old.
