LINCOLN PARK — Whole Foods Market is planning to open its new Lincoln Park location near DePaul University's campus in late February.

The new grocery store is planning a grand opening on Feb. 25 and is currently holding an online hiring event Jan. 16 and 17.

Anyone interested in applying can do some online at this link.

The two-story Whole Foods Market is located in the former Dominick's at 959 W. Fullerton Ave., steps from the Fullerton "L" stop.

The interior of the new store is inspired by DePaul University and will offer a wide variety of on-the-go options for both commuters and students, according to Whole Foods.

The first floor is designed for customers making a quick trip to the store and will offer grab and go options and prepared meals.

It will include a Cuban inspired taqueria, a Neapolitan style pizza area, a hot bar and salad bar.

The second floor of the space will resemble the more typical grocery store layout with pantry staples and other general groceries.

The new Whole Foods will also include a walk-up coffee window.

The building, which is owned by DePaul University, has been undergoing a yearlong renovation since Dominick's closed at the end of December 2013.
