Driver Injured When Vehicle Crashes into NW Side Building

CHICAGO — Police said a person was injured when a vehicle crashed into a Northwest Side building Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the 5800 block of North Lincoln Avenue about 3 p.m., said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.

A vehicle crashed into a parked car, and then into a building, she said. The driver, whose age and gender were unknown, was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in serious condition, she said.

The cause of the crash is unknown, and an investigation in ongoing, she said.
