Cubs Great Kerry Wood To Host Water Tower Place Fundraiser

MAGNIFICENT MILE — Kid K is making another pitch for charity. 

Kerry Wood and Chicago Cubs past and present will be on hand for the fourth annual Woody's Winter Warm Up beginning at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch restaurant at Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave. Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch and Chicago Sports Museum is located on the seventh floor of the vertical mall.

Confirmed guests include Wood and other former Cubs Mark DeRosa, Jacque Jones, Ted Lilly and Rick Sutcliffe; as well as current Cubs players and executives including Tom Ricketts, Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer. 

The celebrities will be challenging guests at various games throughout the event, which will include an open bar, silent and live auctions, and a raffle drawing with prizes including two tickets to a Cubs game in Epstein's private box. 

Proceeds will benefit the Wood Family Foundation and affiliated programs. Tickets are $125 per person in advance and $150 each at the door. Learn more here

The event is part of the 2015 Cubs Convention. 

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
