Bart Simpson Handles the Apocalypse in Theater Wit Play

CHICAGO — Journey to a post-apocalyptic America with your favorite characters from the longest-running American sitcom in the Midwest premiere of Anne Washburn's play Mr. Burns, a post-electric.

The comedy/drama/musical focused on Bart Simpson's power to endure and America's rise after the apocalypse opens Friday at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.

Mr. Burns begins after the apocalypse when the survivors band together to keep the pilot light of civilization burning.

The cast includes Kelly Abell, Daniel Desmarais, Hannah Gomez, Christina Hall, Andrew Jessop, Leslie Ann Sheppard, Jeff Trainor and Leah Urzendowski.

Tickets to the show start at $25 and the play runs until March 1.
