CHICAGO — Two people were shot in Edgewater Monday night.

Around 9:10 p.m., a 29-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were sitting in a car in the 5900 block of North Kenmore Avenue when someone opened fire into the car, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was in serious condition after being shot in his stomach and the woman was listed in stable condition after being shot in her leg. Both were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
