LINCOLN PARK — Still looking for things to do on New Year's Eve?
Here are some last-minute ideas in the neighborhood:
1) Noon Year's Eve Party at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Dr., 11 a.m. -1 p.m.
Head to the Nature Museum for a family friendly New Year's Eve celebration. The little party animals can shake, wobble and play until their apple juice toast at noon. The party cost $15 for members, $20 for non-members and $10 for children 10 and older.
2) New Years Eve at Chicago B.L.U.E.S. Bar, 2519 N. Halsted St., 9:30 p.m.
Ring in the new year at B.L.U.E.S. bar with "The Bar Room Preacher" Jimmy Johnson featuring Rico McFarland, Big Ray and Marvin Little. Tickets to the party are $25. Limited seats are available.
3) A Brown Tie NYE Affair at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St., 9 p.m.
Check out Dean Ween & the Brownouts at the Tonic Room's Brown Tie New Year's Eve Affair. Tickets to the 21-and-over show are $150. Tickets include a commemorative T-shirt and top shelf open bar.
4) The Orwells at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 10 p.m.
Lincoln Hall has a full lineup of bands for its New Year's Eve soiree, including performances by the Orwells, Springtime Carnivore, Criminal Hygiene and DJ Extra Sauce & Well Done. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door for the 18-and-over show.
5) NYE with Rod Tuffcurls & the Bench Press at Joe's on Weed St., 940 W. Weed St., 8 p.m.
Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press will perform live with DJ Entertainment all night long at this New Year's Eve Party. The party will feature passed appetizers, a dinner buffet and a breakfast buffet for after the champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. Tickets to the party are $99, and group pricing is available.
6) NYE Party at Hi-Tops, 2462 N. Lincoln Ave.
Hi-Tops is offering a food buffet, domestic drafts, mixed cocktails and a champagne toast for $40.
7) New Year's Eve at Mon Ami Gabi, 2300 N. Lincoln Park West, 5 p.m.
Wave au revoir to 2014 with classy French fare and fabulous wine. At midnight, raise your glasses with a complimentary champagne toast. Advance reservations are recommended.
