Two Men Killed in Back of the Yards Shooting Identified

CHICAGO — Three men were shot, two fatally, in a possible drive-by shooting in Back of the Yards Sunday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred in the 5100 block of South May Street about 3:40, police said.

One man, 29, suffered a fatal wound to the abdomen. He has been identified as Jonathan Lewis, of the 5300 block of South May Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 4:32 p.m., the morgue said.

Another victim, 24, was fatally shot in his chest, police said.

The 24-year-old was identified as Bobby Norwood of the 5000 block of South Aberdeen Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was also taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m.

A third man, 24, was shot in both legs and taken to an area hospital in serious condition, police said.
