
CHICAGO — Two people were shot at the 95th Street Red Line station Wednesday night, police said.
The incident began with a fight involving one of the victims, a 41-year-old woman, and the gunman, on the mezzanine level of the station at 10:45 p.m., said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.
The gunman shot the woman in her knee and stomach. He also shot a 25-year-old man in the chest before fleeing.
Both shooting victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
A 24-year-old man also was injured in the face by shattered glass. He is stable at Little Company of Mary Hospital, officials said.
It is unclear whether the victims knew each other or the gunman.
CTA trains were not affected by the incident, police said.
