CHICAGO — A Marquette Park man died nearly two weeks after being shot in his car, authorities said.
The man was sitting in a car parked in the 6800 block of South Talman Avenue when he was shot multiple times from a passing car at 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 10, police said.
He was dropped off at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The man, identified as Marrecus Garrett of the same block, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:51 a.m. Tuesday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
