Two Men Killed, One Injured in South Loop Car Crash

CHICAGO— Two men were killed and one man was injured in an SUV crash in the South Loop early Sunday morning, police said.

At 2:45 a.m., police arrived to an accident in the 1200 block of South Clinton Street after an SUV hit a light post, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

Two men, ages 42 and 25, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital; his condition was unknown, Alfaro said.

The 25-year-old man was identified as Anthony Perkins. He was pronounced dead at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 42-year-old man has yet to be identified, according to the morgue.
