River North Shooting Leaves Man Wounded

CHICAGO— A man was wounded after being shot in River North early Friday morning, police said.

At 3:55 a.m., a 36-year-old man was standing in the 200 block of West Ontario Street when he was approached by a man who fired shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The 36-year-old man was shot in his back and taken to Northwestern Hospital where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
